Education

Dr. Kadivane is a Medical Doctor with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (M.B.Ch.B) from the University of Nairobi. He also holds a Master of Science Degree in Applied Epidemiology from the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture & Technology attained in 2017. In addition, he holds a Master in Business Administration (MBA, Operations Management) and Master of Science in Health Economics and Policy (MSc HEP) from the University of Nairobi.

Career & Experience

As a graduate of the Field Epidemiology and Laboratory Programme, Kenya (FELTP-K), he has been working with the Ministry of Health since 2001 and has served in diverse capacities. He is currently stationed at the Division of Disease Surveillance & Response. He has previously served as the County Epidemiologist of Nairobi Metropolitan Services, District Medical Officer of Health for Mombasa and the Nairobi North Districts, the Subcounty Medical officer of Dagoretti and Kasarani sub-counties in Nairobi County. His main areas of service have been management of health matters in the sub-counties as well as leading the Sub County Health Management Team (SCHMT). He has been involved in the trainings of health workers in basic and intermediate epidemiology courses, Integrated Disease Surveillance and Response (IDSR), outbreak investigation and control.

He has been an author in several papers both as a principal author and co-author including:
